A Place For Children (Ages 0-Grade 5)
Our staff welcomes your children
with warm and loving open arms.
Our Goal:
Our goal is to provide a safe, happy place for children to start their journey with Christ. As we continue to grow, we strive to improve and strengthen our care for your children. We look forward to seeing happy faces in the Nursery...where they are greeted with a smile and a hug.
Our Staff and Volunteers:
Any staff person working with children ages 0-3 years is required to submit an application. Each is subject to all or part of the following screening: reference check, criminal background check, and personal interview by the Directors.
Our staff is certified in CPR and First Aid. Two adults will be present at all times in each room. All workers and volunteers attend a Sexual Abuse Seminar and sign a statement that the procedures and policies outlined in the seminar will be implemented and followed at all times. Volunteers also fill out an application and must be involved in the church for at least 6 months before applying. Volunteers are, also subject to background checks and is paired with staff.
Nursery:
Sunday Mornings - we have a security desk where you sign in each child and receive one silent pager per family. This system allows us to locate a parent when needed. The system also has an “all call” feature in the event we should need to close the nursery.
We also use the security animal clips as well. (A clip with the number of your pager is attached to the garment of each child.) This allows us to match tags with pagers and children with parents. Age Appropriate Rooms:
Infant Room - Newborn thru 8 months
Crawler/Walker Room - 9+ months
Toddler Room - 1 yr. old as of 9/1 (present school year)
Two’s - 2 yrs. old as of 9/1 (present school year)
Three’s - 3 yrs. old as of 9/1 (present school year)
* Always check in at the security desk upon arrival.
* Label all items (diaper bags, bottles, cups, etc.) Diaper Bag tags are available upon request.
* Children with special food allergies or diet are encouraged to wear an allergy bracelet.
* Give any special instructions to the staff attendant in your child’s room and write them on the sign-in form.
